spring break 2007 was definitely the most eventful spring break of my life for the first half of it i was in florida, where apparently there's as much water as there is land.. LoL. the first glimpse of our resort from the disney magical express that took us from the airport to disney world.

a couple pictures of the outside of our hotel.

 pop, pop
for those of you who have never been, disney world is made up of four main parks: epcot, magic kingdom (which is almost just like disneyland), animal kingdom, and disney-mgm studios. i'll separate our pictures into those four categories now. epcot entering the park..
i'm dancing with tigger.. it was kind of embarassing posing for this picture. haha!
when we were on the land ride, we saw all these amazing crops that were planted in what looked like.. plain sand.. in the disney greenhouses. the stuff they're doing there is so cool. we eat winter melons fairly often at my house, but i've never seen one even a quarter the size of these.
instead of planting these tomatoes in soil, they're using this machine to spray the roots with water and nutrients. they're actually growing!
apparently just one of these lemons is enough to make a gallon of lemonade.
walking around the world showcase. you can see the epcot ball thing in the distance!
 here we are in japan.
i think this is england.. i'm not too sure.
when in norway, dress like a viking.
when in mexico, wear a sombrero to protect yourself from the sun.
i don't know why i couldn't see very clearly with that scope..
charles is ready to transform into superman.
i'm overly excited about that DNA.

waiting to enter the test track ride.
outside the finding nemo ride, hanging with the seagulls.
this is the inside of the coral reef restaurant, which is kind of connected to the nemo ride. it's cool because it's like eating in an aquarium with all sorts of cool animals swimming inside.
i don't really have anything to say about this one. haha.
 help! help!
 we love them sharks.
we were waiting around for the fireworks show *illuminations: reflections of earth* to start.
it was so hard to get this picture to come out unblurry!
magic kingdom
we had breakfast at the crystal palace with winnie the pooh and his friends!
in front of the castle. doesn't it look just like disneyland?
 entrance picture.
sitting down, waiting for the fireworks to begin in THIS park. i guess we didn't take too many pictures at the magic kingdom because.. well.. it's just like disneyland!
animal kingdom that big tree was so great..
we thought this naked mole rat burrow was pretty great. they have different rooms for stuff, like a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom. they're so naked and smart.
 "hey! my shirt matches!"
these are the glasses we got to wear for the "it's tough to be a bug!" show. we're naturals.
disney-mgm studios cute little matching mickeys.
the robot started spitting out water as soon as we tried to take the picture. we freaked out.
this is the outside of our hotel, not a set! haha, i wish.
finding my way through a web in the "honey, i shrunk the kids" play area.
we're teaching this giant ant to carry us home.
it was pretty incredible meeting the incredibles.
that's it! we took a lot more pictures than that, but obviously i had to stop somewhere. i hope everyone else had as much fun during spring break as i did. |
